Well, the thing with Touhou is that the games are just that...simple side scroller shooters. It's the fandom as someone mentioned. The characters in the games themselves have virtually no personality or characters, it's the stuff people have made up in doujinshi, CDs, custom games and so on that have created them.

Read doujin, hang out in different forums, listen to music, and jerk off to the porn. It's what I did to get into it.

I only use anonymous forums these days and I haven't looked back.

IRC is all right but I don't think a site this slow really needs it.

I imagine most people who know this place are already in similarly related channels and would know each other too.

I come here four times an hour for every hour that I'm awake. I really need a better hobby.

Thanksgiving wasn't that great. After about an hour of sleep, I went to my mother's house with my father and sister to see my mother, grandmother, and great-uncle. As I was tired and feeling grouchy, I didn't really say that much. I just ate a little bit of bread and then stared at my plate for the remainder of the meal. Other people kept poking fun at me, saying things like "You're so quiet!" When they almost finished eating, the topic of primetime TV came up, and my great-uncle asked what they thought about the show Big Bang Theory. My grandmother said, "Anon is exactly like Sheldon! They're both so smart!" and most of the table started laughing. I got really pissed off. I mean, I didn't do anything to them, but they kept picking on me. I couldn't take it anymore, so I got up and went home home.

21 Name: Anonymous : 2011-11-25 05:46 ID:Heaven [Del]

I've been compared to that show and I have no idea what they're talking about. I've never seen it. Mainstream America actually believes this is an accurate representation of our lives, though.

Seriously, don't be the omega male. Be the fucked up rabid lone wolf. This is the best strategy to avoid family bullshit. Let them know that everything you say is something they don't want to hear. That's how you assure no one asks you questions.

>What are you doing with your life? Oh, you know working, shopping for chainsaws, killing rats. Oh, my "vacation home"? Yeah, you could see where he died. There was a big stain on the floor. He was in there for two weeks before they found him. He soaked all the way through. You can see it on the beams underneath and there was a nasty film on all the walls that was just vaporized corpse. I'm guessing they removed him with a shovel. Maybe a wet-dry vac. The liquefaction was substantial...

Yea, I totally know the feeling. Unfortunately, I agreed to a family trip and am pretty much stuck ~400 miles from my car and apartment. I'd honestly like to leave, but I'd be stuck with the bill for a plane back home, or a bus service.

Only one more full day here.

I got into an argument with my sister today. She said that Facebook should replace its books section with a section for magazine/newspapers, and the reason why it didn't have a section for them already is the primary reason why they're failing in the modern era. I argued that books were more indicative of a person's personality and saying what newspaper you read is really only an indication of where you live or what your political stance is, and both areas already have fields available, as well as a miscellaneous likes section. In addition, newspapers are dying out because news is freely available to read online. Then I raised the point that the people who can only express their personalities through what they enjoy are shallow people, and if you can only describe yourself as a "fan of 17 magazine" you're probably just another idiotic consumerist whore. She said "Well, I read the Rolling Stones. That means that I'm a very unique and expressive person. It's completely different." I said that she was an idiot if she actually believed that and she broke down into tears.

Women.

You know that screencap of facebook comments going around that's by some fat chick named Elizabeth Kagome Hime Adams? She writes Inuyasha fan fiction, flagrantly threatens users, and refers to herself as a "tripgoddess"? Her. I want to talk to her.

I don't use facebook, so this makes matters difficult. And by talk I mean keep in a dog kennel for awhile and observe from a distance. Unless she's into that, in which case I'll just keep her on a leash. I mean, I'll be keeping her on a leash a lot, but if she's into the kennel part, we'll just start out there.

I'll introduce her to my parents as my science experiment and tase her when she tries to say hello or ask for help. While she writes on the floor and recovers from the electric shock, my parents will nod approvingly and ask me, "So 0037, you're in to girls? We were having our doubts..."

Ah, what a proud day it will be.

Things are developing nicely between me and that girl... she seems to like me well enough. It just feels like there's slightly odd about her, though... Hmm, why is Dr Pepper so cheap? I picked up four liters of it for three dollars today. That seems a bit too cheap. Maybe it's made with cat blood. I developed a phonetic alphabet system with a rune-like letter representing every sound used in common English. No Q's, but glyphs dedicated entirely to useless sounds like ``dh''... I've been filling up 3 or 4 pages of a paper journal every day, just dumping my thoughts like I am here. I wouldn't be surprised if it started repeating itself in a few days. At least no one would be able to read it unless they devoted a lot of time and effort (a LOT, I omit ``I'' and ``A'' to make it harder on would-be code breakers, among other things...)

So we’ve been playing a lot of Perfect Dark on the N64 in its multiplayer mode. It’s just an FPS and you hunt your friends or you can hunt simulated characters in a good old fashioned death match. One of the available faces for characters looks a lot like an old high school teacher who we’ll call Mr. Dicks (because he was a dick). Most times we’re in a team combat against a bunch of simulated characters. We customize each and every one of our opponents to be Mr. Dicks on a female body. This is how we spend some evenings: relentlessly hunting the tranny version of a hated high school teacher...

I took a midterm exam in Literature after I finally got my sleep schedule straightened out and made it to class after a week of absences. The teacher gave out a paper with 7 questions on it, said to pick five, and write a paragraph for each question of our choice. I finished in 20 minutes. I think I did a good job, the questions were easy (and the teacher would say "REMEMBER ____, IT WILL BE ON YOUR MIDTERMS!"). I'm just worried about my humanities class exam in an hour. I don't even own the textbook, and I just BS in class discussions. All of the lectures have been fairly straight-forward, though... I think I'll be able to survive it.

So Whitney Houston died, and everyone's lauding her as the black queen of pop, or whatever, but was she really that great? I only know one of her songs, and quite frankly, there are much better female singers out there, in my opinion, like: Aretha Franklin; Patsy Cline; Amália Rodrigues; Tina Turner; Edith Piaf, just to name a few. Now, she has a nice voice, I agree, but this seems more like the usual, “Oh noes, a famous person died, let's tell the world how great they were”. But maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

And now for something completely different.

I was listening to the radio just now, and this song, a love song starts playing. So far so good, but as soon as the guy starts singing “Baby”, the music stops and a Brazilian guy with a deep voice says: “Mulher”. This then goes on throughout the rest of the song, every time the artist sings a line, the Brazilian guy translates it right after, and he's not even singing it, just talking with a very deep voice. The weird part is, I'm not in Brazil. Why would anybody play a song like this on the radio?

I accidentally caught a glimpse of Keeping up the Kardashians (or however you spell their name). We are told by one of these women that "the paparazzi in Los Angeles are so much worse than the ones in New York"

But here's the thing. The film crew for this show outnumbers the paparazzi. What's worse, is how could they possibly know that *x* shallow bitch is going to get their hair done or whatever the fuck boring thing they were doing at the time? There are a total of two photographers. Two. Not even that, they're not very good at what they do. They're mostly kneeling (you know, to look professional) and very quickly behind the Kardashians. Think about it: they're not photographing shit. Some bitch's back? How much does a picture of Kim Kardashian's back go for? I think they pay these people to just act like paparazzi. Everyone already knew that, didn't they? Fuck it. I typed it, so I'm posting it.

I didn't buy my waifu a Valentine's present, which made me feel kind of sad. I spent all day in bed asleep, slept 14 hours. I think I'll buy her some chocolates after school tomorrow.

You must have been trying really hard for that to happen.

moot made a sticky on /jp/. It's almost as if he cares.

Is it just me, or is touhou no longer allowed on /jp/?

I've been posting a lot on /vg/. As someone that likes video games and hates /v/, this board's perfect for me. It seems like moot drew a lot of inspiration from the textboards for it... long threads, more threads displayed per page, and megathreads/generals/what have you. It's great for discussion. All he needs to do now is fix the reply numbering system to work like 2ch's and we'll have a great board.

Nah, it's allowed, but check my trips.

Shut up Tokiko!

But anyway. I, for once, think moot is actually doing a good job right now. /vg/ is not the brightest idea he ever had, but it might just solve a few of the problems on /v/, so that's good, I guess.
