In its first year (Oct '03 - Oct '04) /b/ had around 245,000 posts, for an average of 671/day.
At or around Sep '04, it had 180,000 posts.
On 7 April 2005, /b/ had its 1,000,000th post. Disregarding its downtime (and all my human error), in that seven months there were around 750,000 posts. In the period between 1 Oct '04 and 7 Apr '05, that's an average of around 4,750+ posts/day.
On 6 October 2005, 3M GET was achieved. That's an overall average of somewhere around 2,700 posts/day. In between the end of year one and the start of year three, there were around 2,750,000 posts for around 7,500 posts/day.
So just think about that: year one was 617 posts/day, year two was 7,500. That there is what we in any industry call growth!
