OK, this is mostly off topic, but I don't really care…

If you are a member of something that must tell you in detail how to “deal with criticism”, then there's something seriously wrong with you're trying to believe. Searching for “criticism of veganism” and “criticism of ufo conspiracy theories” in particular yield no actual criticism of either, but rather page after page of “dealing with criticism.” Something is wrong with your belief system if it is under constant threat of being undone by reasonable people…

Just bear with me on this… Veganism doesn't particularly bother me, but I believe it is flawed in many ways. If you have to take supplements to make up for something lacking in your diet, you might as well supplement with some eggs and chicken. You really shouldn't feel bad about eating these animals. They barely understand that they are alive in the first place… On that note, veganism goes hand in hand with this touchy-feely nonsense about animal liberation. Literally, these people believe that all animals should be allowed to do as they please and left to themselves.

Let's deal with the criticism: Theory: We shouldn't kill any animals. Ever. For any reason. Because they have souls or whatever. Observation: If we do not kill rats and pigs, they will eat everything on this planet and leave it a desert. Deal with criticism: Uh… we could control the population in other ways. Observation: You're seriously suggesting giving birth control to rats and pigs. Deal with criticism: But it's what I believe! Observation: Jesus fucking christ…

Theory: I believe aliens from another planet are in communication with our government leaders and actively in charge of this world, E! News, and the guy who installed my cable is definitely one of them. Observation: Your evidence appears to be a 200,000-word rant written (by you) in one continuous html file with wildly variable font sizes and colors, several out of focus photos of street lights, and pictures of president Obama run through photoshop filters. In other words, you have no evidence of this at all aside from your own fevered imaginings. Deal with the criticism: YOU'RE ONE OF THEM, AREN'T YOU???? Observation: Jesus fucking christ…

Now I hate to do this, but unfortunately religion was the origin of “coping with criticism” and so it has to be done…
