Starting as early as ?2005 and working its way into 2006, there were threads revolving around “mspaint relationships.” Sadly, it had little do with having sex with mspaint, but was instead a place for people to relay their experience with human relationships in the mother of all media.
Basically, people would bitch about their ex-girlfriends. Given that this is /b/, it quickly grew absurd. There were instances of people being showing their love for inanimate objects, hallucinating entire relationships, etc. The absurdity reached its peak with a series of rather brilliant comics…
Basically, a seemingly normal relationship which would quickly devolve into someone extolling the wonders of Reeses breakfast cereal…
