If a girl were sickened by you, why would she give you her number?

If a girl was attracted to someone, why would she refuse to give him her number?

It could be a case of fucked up human logic: if I give someone my number, it makes me look like a whore. Instead, I will ignore this person, hoping that they can read my mind. I will be disappointed when they cannot read my mind. I will also be disappointed when this person that I am attracted to falls for someone who is completely inferior to me in every way, but who did express interest.

I don't know what to say other than get answers early on. Accept no maybes. Cruel people will exploit you with the power of romance. On the other hand, maybe you will be that inferior person for which they fall hard!
