Python can be kind of slow, do you think that writing some functions in C may make for a faster textboard?

Emanon does it, but my older boards were the first Kareha boards to have it (and the only to have it, for a long time)

Tablecat BBS may have had it. I'm not sure when that became a feature....

As far as I know, my board is the first to use icons for the thread modes and to include stickies. There's some argument from the Kareha dude against stickies, but there's no reason to not give people the option...

It's also the only textboard I know of with Youtube embeds and a feed for new posts. (most textboards have feeds for new threads, but Emanon doesn't, because it's fagware). Having a feed for new posts is good for 2 reasons:

(a) it can help mods track spam / posts without having to go into every thread, and

(b) it can help users find replies / sages in various threads without having to go to the site directly.

Whether a site gets a lot of traffic or a little, it's useful.
