I don't get why people like relationships so much. Any person who's ever been interested in having a serious relationship with me has been very dull. It takes a very boring person to find excitement in parenting and marriage. But I don't get much of a kick out of casual sex either. Why is it so hard finding someone who can keep up with me, so to speak? Am I doomed to a life of self-inflicted celibacy?
Let's put it this way: would you rather have a pet tiger or a pet cat? A reasonable person will think about the tiger being cool briefly, but then quickly realize it will eat them, and settle on the cat. To a great extent, people want what they can control. Does being unwanted mean you're a cool and uncompromising rebel? Well, it could just mean you're ugly and you don't shower for all I know.
The dull people you've attracted are probably just low on self-esteem and options. Besides, to a dull person, someone who has any defining features or experiences seems exciting. To them, you are a tiger. I find it a little interesting why you reject someone simply for being dull. Perhaps it's just my age, but dull means they're not a drug addict, they don't cut themselves, and they're unlikely to destroy your car over an errant text message.
