I'll never understand what could possess a person to post an open invitation for strangers on the internet to speak with him face-to-face, or voice-to-voice as the case may be. it doesn't make sense. it's hard enough to subdue a living thought into a coherent text post on anonymous BBS software, but to do so extemporaneously, with one's own voice, over an electronic connection, without the shield of anonymity steadfastly positioned between one and one's conversational partner, especially when aforementioned partner is a complete stranger, is anathema to me.
