Classical music is a joke too. Basically it's a "The Very Best of" several centuries worth of work. Do you think all of that music made in that time was good? There's no way. They can talk of the various masters and why they sound good from a scientific standpoint, but in the end, it's just a case of monkeys working at typewriters combined with our poor record keeping. If we dug, I'm sure we could find piles of utterly mediocre work even in the catalogs of so-called masters. That's not even delving into the realm of long-forgotten and mediocre-to-begin-with composers of the era whose work managed to survive to this day by random chance. Then you have to consider all that work that was not even worth saving.

In conclusion: fuck ALL music. All of it. I'm going to drive a nail into each ear so I don't have to hear any of it.
